Are you ready to build a practice that equips you to pour into yourself and have the capacity to fully serve others?
Are you ready to step fully into trusting God so that you and your business can grow in purpose?
If yes, click the button below to learn more about how we can work together.
I am Dr. Marcuetta Sims (she/her/hers).
A trauma-trained Licensed Psychologist who specializes in therapy for Black women to heal from unresolved, (often unidentified) childhood trauma and overcome perfectionism so they can know their worth and trust their inner wisdom. I am also the CEO & Founder of the Worth, Wisdom, and Wellness Center.
Right on the brink of the world as we knew it coming to a halt, God called me to step out on faith to start my own solo private practice. When they announced that the world would be going on lock down, I checked back in with God and said, “Did I hear you correctly?”
The answer was “Yes.”
So in spite of my fear, in spite of what I was seeing, in spite of what felt comfortable, I pressed forward and because I chose to press forward, I know have a fully private pay, group practice, overseeing a staff of powerful, brilliant, dynamic Black women doing the work we are passionate about.
I could have stopped, stayed at my “stable” 9-5 job, and waited out the pandemic, But God.
What I’ve also learned during this time is that there aren’t a lot of coaches and trainings that really focus in on supporting therapists in building businesses that on the backend align with their Christian values.
I went from training to training either building my own community around this OR feeling sorely disappointed and left with a void as I navigated how to do this God’s way.
I eventually figured it out.
Through lots of trials and tribulation, and trials and error, I started to listen to that internal wisdom, that internal voice, the gentle promptings of the Holy Spirit to draw closer to God and let Him direct my paths and finally, I was settled.
I developed strategy for following God’s plan for business instead of believing that everything culture said was the primary way to be successful and experience what the world calls abundance.
The journey to get here was hard and included a lot of frustration, a lot of restlessness, and a lot of worry, which was not quite aligned with God wants for me, for any of us. But without the journey, I wouldn’t have the practice or the resolve that I have today.
And now I feel led to support others on their journey.
My work is filtered through my values of faith, abundance, and self-care. I view the world from a multicultural, social justice, and empowerment lenses because I can not ignore the ways that our society has and continues to disempower and disenfranchise marginalized communities in general, and Black women in particular.
I am all about creating spaces where values are honored, cultivated and enhanced in order to create businesses that they can thrive in their practices in the same way that we encourage our clients to thrive. We will work together to dismantle internalized oppressive messages and build the resources that will promote being fully present and fully aligned in every aspect of your life without feeling the need to separate parts of yourself in different environments.
We will address limiting beliefs and fears that keep you playing small while challenging narratives that tell you it’s selfish to ask for more. The goal is to help you move away from experiences that reinforce lack, scarcity, and staying in your comfort zone and move into the abundant life.
How do you know if this is the right space for you?
If you’ve been thinking that something just doesn’t feel like it’s connecting in the work that you’re doing…..
If you often feel tired and burned out at the end of the day….
If you’re making the money, but you don’t have the space, time, or energy to really enjoy your life….
If you’ve listened to all the gurus, you have all the facts and skills, but there’s still a component that’s missing…
If you feel like you don’t have community with other entrepreneurs who share your values….
